The Client
Cognitia Training Solutions create bespoke team and leadership development
programmes for businesses across the Northwest. Cognitia have found particular

new start-up venture funded by the Caudwell group of companies.
The Challenge
As a brand new start-up, Cognitia wanted to build a strong forward pipeline
of sales to grow the business in a controlled manner. It was especially
critical for key staff to focus on delivering high quality training to
their early clients, so they didn’t have the time to dedicate to
building the necessary sales pipeline. Because of this, Cognitia turned
to Nantwich-based business development experts, ROI.
The Solution
ROI recommended a year-long solution to build the required sales pipeline
within the available budget. As part of the solution ROI provided high-volume,
high-quality outbound telemarketing to book appointments for Cognitia
Management. This allowed Cognitia to avoid hiring expensive sales staff
and ensured that sales meetings were attended by the best possible advocates
for the business. ROI also manned the inbound sales line to ensure all
sales enquiries were managed and followed up appropriately and consistently.
In addition, ROI worked closely with Cognitia Management to develop messages
and targeting, each time testing them with segments of the market to ensure
the right message was taken to the right buyers at the right time.
The Results
The Programme has been running for eight months and already Cognitia have
closed business with some impressive blue-chip clients. So far, Cognitia
have attended 77 face-to-face meetings and have a database of 475 training
decision-makers fitting their target profile. All these decision makers
have been spoken to and are interested in continuing dialogue with Cognitia
with a view to including them in their decision at the next purchase.
